Math was never my strong subject. It confused me beyond belief and I
just couldn’t figure out how I was ever going to use algebra in real
life! Then there was Mr. D. I went from wanting to sling my math
books into a bonfire while prancing around it in happiness to actually
looking forward to the homework and accomplishing something I didn’t
know before. He made me want to learn math that stretched my mind and
made me really think. Who would have thought! He also showed me simple
ways to work complicated problems. Everything was just clear and made
complete sense for the first time since letters were added into what was
suppose to be a number thing. And as it turns out, I actually do use
this stuff! True story.

Mr. D was my 7th grade math teacher. He was my favorite teacher because he showed me that 
learning could be fun and he helped
me to enjoy what I was doing. He definitely had a different way of teaching
that not only helped me with math but all of my classes. He just made
